Established over sixty years ago, EKO has built up an extensive wealth of knowledge in the procurement and installation of office furniture to companies in the UK as well as overseas. This experience is a valuable asset which we are pleased to be able to offer to all our clients through our furniture consultancy service and the work of our professional and highly competent team of project managers and trained fitters.

EKO’s design and management team operate out of offices and extensive showroom located in central London. The showroom being easily accessible for the demonstration of products to clients and their design teams. These offices are supported by an additional 20,000 sq ft modern storage facility and distribution centre providing large stock holding capabilities and a complete spares and component programme to support our furniture package and our client’s needs.

Over our sixty years trading experience we have worked on projects of all sizes, which have been co-ordinated with end-users, architects and design and build companies. A high proportion of which has been repeat business. We believe this is down to our simple company ethos of providing the highest levels of professionalism and integrity combined with awareness and attention to our client’s needs.

 

Company History

EKO was founded in 1946 by Egon Kohn. The company initially founded on the highly skilled services of upholstery and cabinet making developed into furniture retailing in the 1950’s and later contract furniture in the early 1970’s. Early success with high profile government and corporate contracts led to further expansion during the 1980’s leading to EKO developing strong distribution alliances and partnerships with major European Design companies. By the mid 1990’s EKO was a major supplier of office furniture to the large corporations relocating to Canary Wharf, extensive contracts with corporate banking and legal sector clients led to EKO having supplied furniture to over a million sq ft of office space at Canary wharf and the City of London by the beginning of the new millennium. The company continues to build on this heritage and seeks to bring to the table innovative design with a focus on solid engineered brand furniture.
